What is Spotgini?
Spotgini is a messaging tool for independant professionals and entities. The difference is that it helps you create interactive conversations for those trying to reach out to you.
It helps them get answers to common questions instantly and helps you avoid the bitterness that comes with not replying on time. Thus it works better than email, social media or voice when it comes to reaching out to you.
How does it work?
Sign up and a profile page with a conversational/chat interface is created for you. People can visit your profile and have a conversation with you for a specific purpose. They can send you a message or request time which are the two default modules. Other specialized modules can be added later.
When people send you a message through Spotgini interface, Spotgini has tools that let you know how important and urgent it is. Later if you respond to one person, Spotgini can remember the response and if you choose so, try to answer if someone else asks a similar question.
What is a Spot?
On Spotgini, a "Spot" just means a "timeslot" with a definite start time and an end time. You offer your time on Spotgini through "Spots". You can assign different properties or preferences to the spot. You can copy, clone, edit and delete them easily.
A Spot can be offered to a single person or single entity as well as a multiple people (like a no frills Eventbrite). Its meant for professional appointments etc.
Who is Spotgini for?
Spotgini is for any person, professional or entity who wishes to get more out of the time they offer to the world. Its for those who want to reduce time checking messages. Its for those who want to
who want to give a better and more compassionate experience to those trying to reach them and avoid the bitterness and coldness or not replying.
How can people find me on Spotgini?
1. One foolproof way is to share your handle(username). You can include this in your social media/professional profiles &/or personal/business websites or in private circles.
2. You can also share you custom url which is you https://www.spotgini.com/name/handle (example:https://www.spotgini.com/name/gishncode)
3. Another way is people can find you
using a combination of first/last name or Business name & location etc.
4. You can also share the link to a Specific Spot you are offering for a one-on-one or event.
How about travelling people/professionals/ entities?
From very early on we had travelling professionals/entities in mind while creating Spotigini. We have tools to let you publish, edit, manage you travel schedule so people can know where you will be and request your time/presence.

What is Spotgini's security policy?
From confidential business proposals to personal home projects, our users trust us to keep their data secure, private, and available whenever they need it. We take that responsibility seriously.
At Spotgini, we maintain a security system that:
- Prevents all unauthorized access;
- Supports continuous monitoring for potential vulnerabilities; and
- Embraces ongoing, proactive improvement to stay on top of the latest security tools and threats.
In Transit
All user data including project names, task names, comments, uploaded files, account information, and payment information are sent using SSL/HTTPS secure channels with 128bit, bankstandard encryption.
At Rest
We use Heroku which uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers to host all user data. We make extensive use of their built-in firewalls to protect your data against unauthorized remote access.
Projects, tasks, comments, account information, and payment information are all stored and encrypted at rest.
All files uploaded after April 11, 2016 are stored and encrypted at rest. Encrypting these files adds an additional layer of security. Files uploaded prior to this date are still fully protected from unauthorized physical and remote access by AWS firewalls.
AWS data centers undergo annual certifications to ensure they meet the highest standards of physical and virtual security. You can find more information on AWS security practices at http://aws.amazon.com/security/.
DATA RELIABILITY
All user data is automatically backed up on AWS servers with the capability to provide point-in-time recovery down to the second. Account Access
We verify account access through both email/password-based authentication and in future Google Accounts authentication via Oauth 2.0.
When email/password-based authentication is used, we always store individuals passwords with unique salts to add an extra layer of protection to your account. top
